राष्ट्रीय उम्मीदवार - स्वस्थ भारत 

Thanks for your support, for my endeavour. I feel obliged.

In next fee weeks I will be presenting in greater detail my (our) agenda for rejuvenation of health systems in India. The core idea in that is equipiing the people in communities for the self management of their primary health and primary medical care. I do feel that even 40 years of Alma Ata declaration in 1978, not much has been done in this direction. Broad masses are still suffering from water borne infections, anemia, scabies, joint pain, undetected hypertension and diabetes, acidity and other similar ailments which can be self managed close to their habitation by public education and training of community based health workers. At the same time the communities should do their own bit for health protection and prevention of widespread alcoholism and drug addiction. 

I do hope that a long term political campaign by health activists will make a difference and push the governance system to reorient itself in the above direction. This is also the broad aim of Ayushman - 1 scheme of GOI. In that broad perspective this political campaign is not against any political party but is reformist and transformative in its intent and action.
